Our commitment
Wellen Park Web Design is committed to providing a website that is accessible to all visitors, including individuals who use screen readers, keyboards, screen magnification, or voice navigation tools.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. These international standards explain how to make web content accessible for people with visual, hearing, cognitive, and motor disabilities.
What we have done
- Contrast. Text meets WCAG contrast minimums in both light and dark themes.
- Keyboard. Every link and button can be reached and activated using a keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators and a skip-to-content link.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, non-essential animations are disabled.
- Text alternatives. Informative images include descriptive text, while decorative visuals are hidden from assistive technology.
- Structure. Pages follow logical HTML5 heading hierarchies, landmark regions, and descriptive labels.
- Touch targets. Interactive controls meet recommended touch target sizes (at least 44 pixels).
Ongoing review
We periodically review and test our pages against WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards. As web technologies and accessibility tools evolve, we continue updating our code to maintain an inclusive experience.
